Ah, Kanye West (or Ye now?). The king of controversy and press aid strikes over again having supposedly ripped off an independent black-owned business. West's spick-and-span merchandise sports a religious-themed graphic that is suspiciously mistakable to a brand logo that already exists.

You may have missed the release of West's album, Donda, that has been building prediction over the past hardly a months with a stream of concerts and campaigning. The rap star played the Mercedes Benz stadium earlier this month where he introduced fans to his latest go and concert-goers had the opportunity to buy his ware. However, the latest shirts looked dubiously similar to Infinity G8ds' design. Infinity G8ds are a clothing brand established in 2022, that pride themselves on their positive values of oneness, faith, love and a sure mind-set. Maybe Kanye's design team should give birth checked out our tips on how to grow a orca logo strategy.

The Infinty G8ds/Kanye West logo compared to each other.

While the design is non exactly the same, the simply difference between the intertwining star is how West has elongated it, and the only difference of opinion between the centre is that West's logo doesn't feature the infinity symbolic representation. At first sight though, these look pretty very much identical.

Coincidence? We think not. A it turns out that West had send contact with the brand before atomic number 2 discharged his merch. In a video recording on the Infinity G8ds Instagram, West and Infinity G8ds' fictive director, Horny Dawkins had a conversation on the phone, where Kanye complimented the designs saying "'Bro, I really love your design. It's really dope. When can I meet you to talk about your process?" Not alone was their back and forth between West and the designers but Eternity G8ds even dispatched the rapper examples of their work for him to look at and then swarm to Atlanta to meet him in person, proving that the headliner was very much aware of the brand's design when he made his.

This isn't West's number one tryst with copyright infringement claims. Information technology was only earliest this year that Walmart claimed that the doorknocker's patent for a simple sun plan was ripping off their logo. It seems arsenic though these mega-stars are making a substance abuse of using designs that aren't theirs with Justin Bieber also coming under elicit for purportedly copying the Judicature album art.

We promise that Infinity G8ds get the credit they deserve in the nearby future and artists will find out to stop copying small brands. But in the meantime, they should take few notes from our list of the golden rules of crafting logos.
